Building Icosahedrons

Cut out 20 equilateral triangles.

Don’t forget to add tabs to connect the triangles together.

Cut and assemble carefully.

Place cut out triangles with folded tabs to match this design.

Glue together triangles to create the Icosahedron.

Example of a nearly completed Icosahedron.

Create surface designs to reinforce concepts.  Surface designs can include mathematical terms and symbols.

Trim to dress up edges.

Display student’s artwork to start a conversation on math & art.
