Kimberli Boyd’s workshop: Moving Forward in Community: Focusing on Key Aspects of Sociocultural Anthropology Through Movement and Creative Dance

The 8th Annual AIE Summer Intensive took place last week August 13th and 14th at Marygrove College. The main focus of the Intensive this year was The Quest to Understand Humankind: Arts in the Classroom THrough the Lens of Anthropology. Teachers, teaching artists, and educators participated in sessions ranging from dance, music, visual arts, and theater.

This year presenters included Marygrove College Humanities Professor Karen Davis, Marygrove College English Professor Michael Martin, Detroit Rep Theater Director Misfordean Luster, musician and teacher Mark Stone, Living Arts art educator Jen Boyak, and founder of Dancing Between the Lines Dancer and Educator Kimberli Boyd.
